Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer (House/Residential Construction)

Purpose: Design, analyse, oversee and ensure structural integrity of residential house construction projects from foundations up, ensuring compliance with codes, safety, budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design structural systems for houses (foundations, beams, columns, walls, slabs) and ensure they meet loads, seismic, wind, live/dead load criteria.
  • Review geotechnical reports and use findings (soil bearing capacity, etc.) in foundation design.
  • Prepare and/or review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, bills of materials.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, contractors and other disciplines (MEP, architectural) to integrate structural with architectural design.
  • Use structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit) to model and simulate structure behaviour.
  • Perform site visits/inspections to monitor construction, verify compliance with design drawings and specifications, ensure quality of structural works.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international building codes/regulations (for example in the Philippines: National Structural Code of the Philippines, Philippine Building Code) and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports, technical documentation, design submittals for approval (local authorities, building permits) and for client review.
  • May manage small teams (junior engineers, CAD technicians) or liaise with contractors/subcontractors on structural matters.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines and ensure structural design and construction phases adhere to these, raise issues and propose corrective actions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php35,000.00 per month
