Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

The Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to oversee, supervise and ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans and undertakes scheduled maintenance.
• Ensures all equipment is running in good condition at all times .
• Maintains all the plant equipment's( DP) and perform all the needed preventive maintenance activity
• Supervises and manages personnel assisting to all plant maintenance activities and project
• Ensures the availability of all machine spare parts.
• Maintains the electric and diesel consumption per bag within the target.
• Dressing Plant electricity =0.01 kwh/bird, diesel 0.001 liter/bird.
• Identifies and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
• Repairs or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Direct and trains workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wirings and equipment.
• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in dressing plant process, technology and operation troubleshooting techniques.
• Designs and evaluates the machine and equipment operational performance.
• Enforces maintenance activity and preventive maintenance schedule for all Dressing plant equipment.
• Develops strategies that will improve the plant capacity and utilization.
• Ensures to reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of the plant, personnel and production processes.
• Performs other tasks as delegated by immediate head.
• Attends meetings, seminars and training.
• Ensures calibration of weighing scales, thermometers, refrigeration and other devices are planned and followed based on the set schedule
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Support Duties:

• Reviews of work requests submitted by different sections concerned.
• Prepares job order for projects that need to be done.
• Prepares construction completion reports for projects that are inspected and finished.
• Reviews of maintenance technician daily report.
• Reviews of machine breakdown monitoring for everyday operation.
• Prepares the project acceptance and turn over report after securing the completion report of the project.
• Reviews of machine breakdown monitoring for everyday operation.
• Reviews all preventive maintenance checklists of the different machines and equipment of the dressing plant.

Position Requirements

• Work Experience

At least two (2) years of experience required, within the same industry or can be a related or another industry.

• Education

Bachelor Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering.

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer
• Knows equipment safety systems and processes
• Work Environment Working in an excessive heat environment.

• Exposure to offensive odors.
• Works in dirty, dusty or uncomfortable surroundings.
