Job Summary:

The HR Assistant in Timekeeping and Compensation and Benefits (Compenben) is primary responsible for maintaining accurate timekeeping record of employees, ensuring their timely enrollment in government-mandated benefits, and processing accurate and on-time remittances of these benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Timekeeping

  • Manually records production employees' log details (log in and out) on a daily basis, preparing them for the HR supervisor's weekly review.
  • Ensures that log details are based on the employee's approved work schedule and coordinates with the Supervisors regarding any changes on the employee's work schedule.
  • Checks and reviews the log details of employees who are using the biometric system and coordinates with them regarding any missing logs or other attendance issues, ensuring these are completed or corrected before the end of the cut-off period.
  • Manually inputs production employees' filed overtime, ensuring it is approved by their immediate supervisor and Farm Manager on a daily or weekly basis, whichever is appliable.
  • Checks the system if there are any pending leave applications and filed overtime requests for approval from employees who are using the biometrics, and coordinates with the employee's supervisor.
  • Ensures that salary disputes (payroll/salary concerns) are property handled and addressed promptly, and that concerns are resolved within one payroll cut-off (within the following cut-off period).
  • Ensures the timely enrollment of newly hired employees into the system, especially those who will log in and out through the biometric system.
  • Ensures that DTR's for production employees and those from manpower agency are properly prepared and ready to use on the first working day of the month.
  • Ensures that HR forms like, Leave Application Form, Overtime Form, Change Work Schedule Form and Offset Form are readily available for everyone's use.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Ensures timely enrollment of the newly hire employees to the government mandated benefits.
  • Ensures timely remittance of the government mandated benefits of the employees to avoid penalties.
  • Mus ensure that employees' contributions to government mandated benefits, as well as any loan payments are accurate and correct to avoid payroll or salary disputes.
  • Assist with the enrollment of the newly hired employees in bank account applications for payroll purposes.
  • Ensure the timely liquidation of the cash advances used for paying government mandated remittances and loan payments.
  • Property compiles the receipts and other pertinent documents related to payments of government-mandated remittances.

Other task

  • Responsible for creating, updating and safekeeping of employees' 201 files.
  • Assists employee's concern and address issue/concern by involving the right person, following the proper chain of command.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
  • With at least a year of experience in timekeeping and compensation-government mandated benefits.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using software for recordkeeping, reporting, and communication.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and in high-pressure situations, particularty during disease outbreaks.
