About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer/Designer with experience in the Australian Market to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing structural analysis, design and preparation of drawings for a variety of building projects including commercial, residential, and industrial structures. This role requires strong technical expertise in structural systems and proficiency with industry-standard analysis software. Excellent AutoCAD skills is a MUST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, and wood structures
  • Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation
  • Utilize structural analysis software (ETABS, Autodesk Robot, Staad Pro, RAM, or similar) to model and analyze complex structural systems
  • Create and review structural drawings and specifications using CAD software
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable Australian Building Codes and industry standards
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines
  • Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction phases
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
  • Participate in quality control reviews and design optimization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural design and analysis, preferably with exposure to Australian building projects
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS codes) and Building Codes of Australia (BCA)
  • Proven experience designing steel, concrete, and timber structures across commercial, residential, and industrial projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and experience preparing detailed structural drawings and documentation
  • Hands-on experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Autodesk Robot, or RAM Structural System
  • Strong understanding of structural behavior, load paths, and construction methods
  • Ability to prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation independently
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under minimal supervision
