Rebar Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Rebar Engineer to manage and oversee the design, detailing, coordination, and implementation of reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete structures. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural drawings, rebar standards, and construction processes to ensure structural integrity and compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate interpretation of design requirements.
• Prepare and check rebar shop drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ACI, BS, IS codes, etc.).
• Inspect and ensure quality and accuracy of rebar placement at construction sites.
• Collaborate with BIM and CAD teams to produce 2D/3D rebar models when required.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in rebar detailing, engineering, or construction.
• Strong understanding of concrete structural systems and rebar behavior.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
