About the role

We're seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Compliance Assistant to join our dynamic team at MANILA BANKERS LIFE INSURANCE CORP' in Makati City, Metro Manila. This full-time role will provide crucial support to our compliance and legal functions, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of governance and regulatory adherence.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory reports and compliance documents
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the legal and compliance teams
  • Organise and maintain electronic and physical records, ensuring efficient document management
  • Help draft correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the compliance and legal departments
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless compliance

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a compliance or paralegal role, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfortable with document management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Keen interest in legal and compliance matters, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
