Job Description

  1. Production Line Management

    • Ensure balanced workload through line balancing and monitor Work-In-Process (WIP) levels

    • Implement and reinforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the production line

    • Monitor production performance and address process deviations and delays
  2. Process Improvements

    • Promote and initiate continuous process improvements to enhance quality, output, and cost-efficiency

    • Lead small group activities or Kaizen initiatives to resolve recurring production issues

  3. Administrative Function / Safety / 5S

  4. Manage request for manpower, hiring and other manpower movements.

  5. Assign roles, monitor performance, and ensure team compliance with processes and deadlines
  6. Oversee training of new production staff
  7. Manage performance evaluation, coaching, counseling, and approval of employee leaves
  8. Handle labor relations concerns including grievance management, disciplinary actions, and union matters
  9. Coordinate with support departments for smooth operations
  10. Ensure strict implementation of safety protocols and 5S workplace standard

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Understanding of production processes, equipment operation, and workflow optimization
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a supervisory or leadership role, handling frontline production teams.
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Ability to delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and manage team schedules.
  • Conflict resolution and maintaining team morale
  • Decision Making and Effective Communication Skills
