PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides excellent guest service by knowing the menu, upselling food and drinks, maintaining a clean dining area, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and comfortable throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly with a friendly, approachable attitude
  • Ensure all guests feel comfortable, attended to, and valued
  • Anticipate needs and respond promptly
  • Resolve concerns professionally or escalate when needed

Menu Knowledge & Upselling:

  • Learn ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles of all dishes
  • Upsell premium dishes, specials, desserts, and beverages
  • Understand basic wine, liquor, and cocktail profiles
  • Learn origins of select wines and spirits
  • Recommend accurate food and drink pairings

Service Execution:

  • Take orders clearly and accurately
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar for timely service
  • Serve food and drinks following standard service procedures
  • Manage table settings, refills, and guest needs

Dining Area Cleanliness & Setup:

  • Keep indoor and outdoor dining areas clean and organized
  • Ensure tables, chairs, cutlery, and serviceware are always presentable
  • Assist with table setup and clearing before, during, and after service

Inventory of Dining Essentials:

  • Monitor cutlery, plates, glassware, linens, and table accessories
  • Report shortages or damaged items
  • Keep dining materials properly stored and ready for service
  • Assist with weekly and monthly inventory counts

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with servers, baristas, and kitchen staff
  • Support teammates during peak hours
  • Communicate clearly to maintain efficient service flow

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least a high school graduate
  • Hospitality or service experience is an advantage
  • Friendly, approachable, and consistently smiling
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Can speak basic or conversational English (highly preferred)
  • Willing to learn menu details and beverage origins
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork and professionalism
