This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Orange County, CA Time)
Total Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Our client is seeking a Spanish Bilingual Medical Assistant to join their team. You will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure smooth office operations and provide an excellent patient experience. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations for procedures and surgeries, then coordinating patient scheduling once approvals are secured. You'll serve as a key point of contact between the office, patients, and outside facilities — making strong communication and organizational skills essential.


Responsibilities

  • Obtain insurance authorizations for gastroenterology procedures and surgeries

  • Schedule patients for procedures and surgeries after authorization is secured

  • Coordinate with hospitals and surgical centers to confirm schedules

  • Focus exclusively on insurance authorizations and patient scheduling (no other MA duties)

  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Must have ECW experience (eClinicalWorks)

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with medical insurance authorizations

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal)

  • Comfortable handling high call volumes and managing emails

  • Strong multitasking abilities with excellent prioritization skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced medical office setting

  • Responsible, dependable, and willing to work extra hours when needed

  • Leadership mindset and ability to take initiative
