Job Summary: The IT Operations Associate supports the organization's IT infrastructure and contributes to maintaining a secure computing environment. This position involves routine IT maintenance and basic cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems from threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and network devices.
  • Help implement security protocols such as password policies, antivirus updates, and firewall configurations.
  • Monitor system performance and security alerts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support end-users by resolving IT problems and guiding them on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Conduct regular data backups and assist in disaster recovery efforts.
  • Maintain records of IT equipment, security incidents, and routine maintenance.
  • Carry out basic vulnerability checks and notify senior IT staff about potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT and security standards.
  • Participate in staff training on IT security awareness and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to enhance security posture and system reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in IT operations with exposure to cybersecurity best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, system administration, and software patch management.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills to assist users and coordinate with teams.
