Core Role
Prepares and cooks dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards, ensuring consistency, speed, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare mise en place and cook food items as assigned.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at assigned station.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food products.
- Communicate with team members for smooth kitchen flow.
- Alert supervisors of any low-stock items or equipment issues.
- Participate in prep work and closing duties.
- Practice proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
- Support in daily stock rotation and labeling.
- Comply with kitchen health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Culinary education or training is an advantage but not required.
