Core Role

Prepares and cooks dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards, ensuring consistency, speed, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare mise en place and cook food items as assigned.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at assigned station.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of food products.
  • Communicate with team members for smooth kitchen flow.
  • Alert supervisors of any low-stock items or equipment issues.
  • Participate in prep work and closing duties.
  • Practice proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
  • Support in daily stock rotation and labeling.
  • Comply with kitchen health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
  • Culinary education or training is an advantage but not required.
