Junior Technical Support Engineer ( Server & Virtualization) takes the lead in the implementations and maintenance of PTSI's Customers across various locations to ensure that its users can easily access mission-critical applications. The individual must be able to troubleshoot the issues at both the Server and PC levels.

Configuring and managing of servers of different operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, or Linux, including fixing of issues and upgrading while implementing enhancements to improve performance and reliability.

They also design, implement, and manage Enterprise System Technologies

Must be familiar with Cloud Solutions, virtualization software, such as VMWare and Hyper-V, scripting and VDI Solutions

Server Engineers will have to keep learning new technologies to be useful to both PTSI and external Customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the support of technologies such as Active Directory, Hyper-V, VMWare, and other software and applications related to Server.
  • Must be able to take care of Server environment, which includes installing new servers, taking out servers, and fixing issues with existing servers.
  • Must be able to help Customers in tackling specific server related issues and upgrades.
  • Travel to Customer locations for the implementation of provided solutions, respond to incidents, issues, and or change requests.
  • Perform software and hardware break/fix as necessary.
  • Will lead the deployments of Customer IT Server infrastructures and provide strategies to support Customer business plans related to the provided solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree, Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
  • Should have a thorough understanding of patching tools and security vulnerability scanning.
  • At least 2 years of handling support and implementations of Servers
  • Knowledge on virtualization software (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc) is a must
  • Experience handling Lenovo, Dell, and/or HPE Servers and solutions is an advantage.
  • Willing to be trained and keep learning new technologies
  • Willing to start as soon as possible.
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be ready working flexible work hours and adhere to deadlines to complete certain projects
