This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible within client business hours (NSW) — Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day
Total Weekly Hours: 20 hours

Are you passionate about residential design and bringing ideas to life? Our client is seeking a CAD Drafter who values accuracy, creativity, and collaboration—all while working remotely. If you hold a diploma or certification in drafting, architecture, or a related field, and have experience designing single homes, this role could be a great fit. You'll transform architectural sketches into detailed, code-compliant drawings using ArchiCAD and other industry tools. Success in this role means producing precise plans, meeting deadlines, and working seamlessly with architects and designers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and designers to understand project requirements

  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and layouts for residential projects

  • Ensure all drawings comply with specifications, standards, and building codes

  • Revise drawings based on feedback from architects or clients

  • Convert sketches and concepts into detailed CAD drawings

  • Maintain organized records of drawings, blueprints, and revisions

  • Stay current with the latest drafting tools, software, and best practices

  • Participate in virtual meetings with architects, designers, and stakeholders

  • Deliver drawings on time to meet project deadlines

Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in drafting, architecture, or related field

  • Proven experience designing single homes

  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD and other drafting software

  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy

  • Ability to interpret complex architectural sketches and convert them into detailed drawings

  • Solid communication skills to collaborate effectively with architects and designers

  • Knowledge of residential building codes, standards, and regulations

Highly Regarded Skills

  • Previous experience in residential architecture drafting

  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools

  • Prior remote drafting experience

  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
