Qualifications for Accounting Assistant:
· At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
· years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
· Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Microsoft Excel
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work independently on assigned duties
· Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
· Knowledgeable in payroll
Responsibilities for Accounting Assistant
· Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
· Assist with preparation of financial statements, schedule of accounts and other related reports
· Prepare monthly and quarterly tax report such as Value-added Tax Summary List of Sales and Purchase (SLSP), Quarterly Alphalist of Payee (QAP) and Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes (SAWT).
· Prepare monthly bank and cash on hand reconciliation and make adjusting entry for reconciling items.
· Prepare monthly disbursement book and journal book
· Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
· Other Tasks assigned by finance manager and accounting supervisor from time to time
