URGENT HIRING: Senior Team Manager – Consolidation & Logistics Operations
We are hiring a Senior Team Manager to lead operational teams within our shared services logistics division. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of consolidation and freight operations, and the ability to manage high-volume processes while supporting multiple countries' requirements and escalations.
Position Overview
The Senior Team Manager oversees teams responsible for LCL/FCL import and export operations, consolidation workflows, documentation, and customer coordination. The role ensures smooth and accurate service delivery across all supported countries while maintaining global standards, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage teams handling LCL/FCL, import/export, and consolidation operations within a shared service environment.
• Oversee daily workflows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to country-specific SOPs and requirements.
• Coordinate directly with overseas offices and country managers regarding operational issues, service expectations, and escalation cases.
• Handle escalations related to documentation discrepancies, carrier issues, delayed shipments, or complex customer requirements.
• Monitor team performance, allocate workloads, and optimize resources to match varying volume demands.
• Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development for team leaders and staff.
• Review and approve critical operational outputs including HBL/MBL drafts, billing instructions, and key shipment documents.
• Enhance and implement SOPs to improve standardization, accuracy, and efficiency across supported regions.
• Collaborate with global partners, co-loaders, carriers, and internal support teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Lead business continuity and contingency planning during disruptions, ensuring service stability.
• Maintain compliance with customs rules, carrier requirements, and company policies.
• Drive team engagement, effective communication, and professional growth.
• Prepare and present operational metrics, performance reports, and improvement plans to senior management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of consolidation processes, import/export operations, and international logistics requirements.
• Proven experience managing teams in a shared services setup is an advantage.
• Strong ability to handle country-specific concerns, manage escalations, and provide clear solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with global stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability in time-sensitive environments.
• Proficiency in logistics systems, operational tools, and reporting dashboards.
• Ability to lead process improvements and standardization initiatives across multiple regions.
