Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies. The role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting

  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts and financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and payable to ensure accurate reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual expenses against budget and report variances.

Tax & Compliance

  • Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and accounting standards.

Bank & Account Reconciliation

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage petty cash and cash flow requirements.

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Assist in internal and external audits.
  • Recommend and implement financial process improvements and internal controls.

Other Administrative Duties

  • Support management in financial decision-making through financial analysis.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not always required).
  • Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in Accounting Manager or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc. ).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with local tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Key Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php55, Php60,000.00 per month
