Job Description

As a Cloud Engineer, you will support global customers by implementing and managing both private and public cloud environments. You'll work across AWS and Azure, ensuring uptime, system performance, and continuous improvements-all while collaborating with expert teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud solutions.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 2 years of hands-on engineering experience - AZURE Administrator or higher (Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect highly valued)
• Detailed and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems including server roles and features, M365, SSO, MS Exchange, and related technologies
• Deep understanding of public cloud solutions and the cloud model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, incident diagnostic, and analytics tools
• University degree in Computer Science or a related subject

Your Daily Tasks

• Support global customers through implementation project services across Private and Public Cloud environments (AWS/Azure), ensuring system availability, reliability, and technical performance.
• Collaborate with support teams, project and service delivery managers to provide technical advice for multi-cloud customers.
• Implement solutions as per design, deliver outcomes within project timelines and budgets, and provide accurate technical effort estimates.
• Provide technical support, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure current certifications are up to date.
• Implement, maintain, enhance, and support infrastructure, environments, and solutions in Private and Public Clouds (AWS/Azure).
• Design, test, and deploy new products, software, and technologies to ensure resources are optimized for business users.
• Conduct backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) testing.
• Provide Level 3 support as required and maintain configuration, process, and service documentation accurately.
• Advise management of risks related to system availability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Ensure all deployed infrastructure performs according to design specifications and operational requirements.
• Carry out work in line with service delivery (ITIL) processes and best industry practices.
• Recommend improvements to enhance reliability, manageability, and efficiency of managed systems.
• Perform infrastructure planning, design, build, testing, deployment, and change control activities under ITIL and best-practice standards.
• Provide presales technical and pricing assistance for CMS sales opportunities to ensure feasibility within technical, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Actively support skills transfer and education of other technical staff in relation to Cloud Service Delivery responsibilities.
• Maintain a high level of specialized technical training and certification, regularly participating in professional development seminars and conferences.
• Create a superior customer experience by ensuring every interaction-email, call, or meeting-is positive, informed, and results-oriented.
• Restore all incidents, Service Requests (SRs), and Service Restoration Calls (SRCs) within target restoration times.
• Take ownership of all identified issues, regardless of department, ensuring risks and issues are properly raised and tracked.
• Participate in the on-call roster as required, conducting root cause analyses for major incidents and focusing on reducing repeat occurrences.
• Develop and execute customer service improvement plans aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and process efficiency.
• Support internal stakeholders (team members, account management, pre-sales, architects) to ensure efficient onboarding and operational alignment.
• Proactively manage stakeholder requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information used to support customers.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are up to date and followed consistently.
• Advise management proactively of risks to systems availability, reliability, and security, and take measures to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with the Cloud Architecture Team on new technology initiatives, platform upgrades, and service enhancements.
• Assist in ensuring operational readiness of new technology stacks aligned with the company's multi-cloud vision.
• Support education and knowledge transfer in automation and orchestration tools.
• Maintain high standards of ticket administration and reporting-accurately recording incidents, service requests, and change information in the service management system.
• Continually improve operational processes, maintain CMDB hygiene, and ensure customer materials and records are accurate.
• Participate in projects, continuous improvement programs, and technical development initiatives to deliver greater customer value.
