About the Role

We are looking for a Crew Welfare Officer to join our team. The role is responsible for ensuring the overall well-being of seafarers and their families, providing support in health, safety, financial, and social concerns, while ensuring compliance with national and international maritime labor standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for seafarers and their families regarding welfare concerns.
  • Assist in processing welfare-related documents, medical claims, and insurance benefits.
  • Coordinate medical examinations, treatment, and emergency support.
  • Conduct pre-departure orientations and provide counseling when needed.
  • Handle grievances and disputes with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with MLC 2006, POEA, OWWA, and other maritime regulations.
  • Liaise with principals, agencies, and welfare organizations for crew support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Maritime Studies, Social Work, or related field.
  • Preferably with experience in crew welfare, HR, or crewing operations.
  • Knowledge of maritime labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, counseling, and communication skills.
