Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Conveyancer to assist with end-to-end property transactions, primarily for Victoria, Australia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Victorian conveyancing processes, with bonus points for knowledge of Queensland and New South Wales practices. Experience using Smokeball software is highly regarded. This is a remote role, supporting an Australian legal or conveyancing team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end conveyancing for residential and/or commercial property transactions in Victoria.

  • Prepare and lodge contracts of sale, section 32 statements, and all required legal documents.

  • Liaise with clients, agents, banks, and other stakeholders to coordinate settlements.

  • Conduct property searches, review titles, and handle due diligence.

  • Monitor key dates and manage settlement timelines.

  • Provide accurate and timely updates to clients and the supervising legal team.

  • Ensure all processes comply with Victorian conveyancing regulations.

  • Assist with transactions in QLD and NSW where applicable.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated conveyancing experience in Victoria (essential).

  • Familiarity with Australian property law and PEXA settlements.

  • Excellent communication and file management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.

  • Based in the Philippines, with availability during Australian business hours.

  • Ability to work independently while reporting to Australian-based supervisors.

Desirable

  • Experience with Queensland and New South Wales conveyancing matters.

  • Prior use of Smokeball legal and conveyancing software.

  • Exposure to electronic signing and document sharing platforms.

  • Previous work experience in an Australian law firm or conveyancing practice.

Software Proficiency

  • Conveyancing Software: Smokeball (preferred), PEXA

  • Productivity: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel

  • Communication: Zoom, Teams, Gmail or Outlook

  • Document Management: Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar platforms
