Key Responsibilities:

· Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

· Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, reflow oven and other relevant equipment.

· Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, collaborating with technicians and vendors as needed.

· Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for SMT equipment.

· Process Optimization and Improvement:

· Analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and optimization.

· Develop and implement new SMT processes and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

· Collaborate with engineers and technicians to refine SMT processes and equipment settings.

· Stay current with advancements in SMT technologies and best practices.

· Quality Assurance and Control:

· Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

· Conduct quality inspections of SMT products to identify and correct defects.

· Work with the quality assurance team to track and analyze quality data.

· Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain accurate production records, including process logs, equipment maintenance records, and quality control data.

· Prepare reports on SMT equipment performance and productivity.

· Document and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SMT processes.

· Training and Development:

· Provide training to SMT operators on equipment operation, maintenance, and quality control procedures.

· Mentor and coach SMT technicians, fostering continuous improvement and skill development.

· Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and share this knowledge with the team.

· Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth production operations.

· Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers regarding equipment maintenance and repair.

· Work closely with the production manager and supervisors to achieve production goals and objectives.

· Cost Reduction and Efficiency:

· Identify and implement cost-saving measures related to SMT equipment and processes.

· Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases or upgrades to enhance production capabilities.

· Monitor and track equipment performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is generally required.

· Deep understanding of SMT processes, equipment, and technologies (pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, etc.).

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize equipment performance.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Leadership and team management experience.

Work Experience:

· Minimum 5-7 years of experience in SMT assembly processes and equipment management is typically required.

· Experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment is also valuable.
