SMT Technician

What you'll be doing

• Operate and maintain surface mount technology (SMT) equipment such as pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and soldering stations
• Perform setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SMT production lines to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct quality inspections on assembled printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, identifying and resolving any issues
• Provide technical support and training to production staff on the use of SMT equipment and processes
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements and optimise production efficiency
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production processes and quality control

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 years of experience as an SMT Technician or in a similar role within the electronics manufacturing industry
• Thorough understanding of SMT processes, equipment, and best practices
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications
• Proficiency in the use of SMT equipment, such as pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and soldering stations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production and engineering teams
