Key Responsibilities of an SMT Senior Manager:

· Production Leadership:

Overseeing daily SMT production lines, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.

· Team Management:

Leading, motivating, and developing SMT personnel, providing training and guidance.

· Process Improvement:

Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, throughput, and productivity, including Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

· Quality Control:

Monitoring employee work performance, ensuring quality standards are met, and working to reduce defects.

· Workforce Development:

Ensuring personnel are thoroughly trained and certified in their roles, and providing mentorship to supervisory staff.

· Material Management:

Managing the flow of materials through the SMT facility, optimizing workflow and material usage.

· Equipment Maintenance:

Ensuring SMT equipment is in good working condition and available when needed.

· Reporting and Documentation:

Creating reports on production levels, downtime, and defects.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Leadership and Management:

Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and motivating teams.

· Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, and manufacturing techniques.

· Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues.

· Communication:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

· Process Improvement:

Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

· Safety:

Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements:


• The successful candidate requires a minimum of eight years' work experience in an electronics manufacturing environment (SMT operation and/or management).


• BS Electrical or BS Electronics field preferred.


• Deep insight in the SMT process, SMT equipment performance and configuration


• Proven Leadership, demonstrated ability to set and meet aggressive goals and objectives.


• Good written and verbal communication skills.
