Job description:

The Kitchen Helper supports the kitchen staff in preparing and serving food by performing routine tasks such as cleaning, food prep, dishwashing, and maintaining hygiene standards. This role is essential in ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently, safely, and meets cleanliness requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling, chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients).
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using manual or automated methods.
  • Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, floors, and storage areas in compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Receive, unpack, and store food supplies and ingredients according to safety guidelines.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage properly.
  • Supports the cook by delivering ingredients and tools as needed during meal prep.
  • Ensure that refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low supplies.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist in setting up and taking down kitchen stations before and after service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the cook

Qualifications:

  • high school diploma or ALS certificate
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift up to [e.g., 20 kg / 40 lbs].
  • no related experience required
  • can start ASAP

SCHEDULE:

MONDAY-SATURDAY (6:00AM-3:00PM/7:00AM-4:00PM/8:00AM-5:00PM)
