Role Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Lead Research & Validation Specialist to support our deal origination efforts. You will be responsible for researching, identifying, and validating companies that fit specific investment profiles. This role requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of private equity and M&A landscapes, and the ability to work with precision under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research Leads: Identify companies that match specific investment criteria provided by our clients (e.g., industry, revenue, location, ownership structure).
  • Validate Targets: Confirm company details including size, ownership, financial performance, and strategic fit.
  • Decision-Maker Mapping: Identify and collect accurate contact details for CEOs, Founders, CFOs, and other relevant executives.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update lead lists in CRM or spreadsheet systems, ensuring all data is accurate and complete.
  • Support Outreach: Prepare and deliver clean, well-structured lead lists for the outreach team.
  • Tool Utilization: Use industry databases and tools to conduct research, verify contacts, and enrich data.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in lead research, market research, or sales development (experience in PE, investment banking, or M&A preferred).
  • Familiarity with databases such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, PitchBook, , or ZoomInfo.
  • Strong understanding of business financials and investment criteria (EBITDA, revenue ranges, industry segments).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
