Job Summary:

The Little Theater Technical Operations Specialist manages the Little Theater and its lights, sounds, and other multimedia equipment. He or she serves as the technical director and graphics designer of the Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA) events, and to those events that are assigned to XCCA. He or she performs administrative and executive support tasks that are highly confidential and sensitive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the Little Theater and its functions and the services for Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts;
  2. Manages the technical personnel and the student assistants;
  3. Trains technical personnel for upskilling and makes sure that the personnel are ready for deployment to various functions and engagements;
  4. Safeguards and maintains the technical facilities and equipment;
  5. Designs and renders light and sound technical requirements in all the programs, projects, and activities of XCCA;
  6. Designs for graphics, visual communication, and video requirements of XCCA;

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or any related field or equivalent degree;
  • Technical skills in handling lights and sounds design, execution, operation, and troubleshooting;
  • Artistic and technical competence and skills in handling production design set-up and strike down;
  • Competence in technical equipment repair, maintenance, and inventory;

    Technical skills for graphics and video design;
  • Positive character and work ethics; and
  • Can work on flexible schedules for technical production rendition and implementation.
