About the Role

A well-established Australian manufacturing company supplying premium products to the construction and design sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager based in the Philippines, working permanently from home and aligned to Australian business hours.

This role leads the general accounting function for the business and is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with Australian reporting and regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager works closely with senior management in Australia and liaises with external accountants, auditors, and advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and month-end close
  • Ensure accounting systems, processes, and internal controls are consistently applied and improved
  • Review and approve accounting outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, management accounts, and supporting analysis
  • Monitor and analyse accounting data to ensure integrity and compliance with internal policies
  • Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors
  • Act as a key point of contact for external accountants, tax agents, and regulatory bodies
  • Support compliance with Australian financial and reporting requirements
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to finance team members as required
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent qualification advantageous but not required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience working with Australian businesses or clients is highly regarded
  • Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment is an advantage

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience using accounting and ERP systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality
