Overview:
This position leads the development and execution of strategic programs to accelerate the growth of the Modern Trade Channel. Focusing on expansion, penetration, and productivity, this role ensures the rollout of scalable channel models, strengthens partnerships with national key accounts, retail chain accounts, e-channels, and other non-traditional accounts. The role aims to grow DITO's market share and visibility in these environments through impactful and sustainable growth initiatives. This role reports to the Head of Modern Trade Channel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and distributors.
- Create and execute channel marketing and sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate the development and delivery of channel initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop effective strategies.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and other metrics to measure success of initiatives and adjust plans accordingly.
- Develop and implement effective channel strategies, marketing plans, and sales programs that maximize revenue and market share.
- Identify and manage channel partners and key accounts, including distributors, resellers, and agents.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products, services, and industry trends to ensure successful channel management.
- Create and maintain accurate channel reports, forecasts, and budgets to monitor channel performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Teams, to develop and execute channel initiatives.
- Stay informed about competitor developments and industry trends to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
Functions:
- Formulate channel growth strategies and programs for modern trade formats including national key accounts, retail chains, convenience stores, malls, supermarkets, e-channels, payment channels, and other non-traditional accounts.
- This role is highly cross-functional, working closely with Finance, Marketing, Trade Marketing (TMG), Product, and Customer Experience (CX) teams to align channel growth initiatives with business objectives, campaigns, operational readiness, and customer engagement strategies.
- Continuously seek new formats and business models to grow DITO's presence in evolving environments.
- Evaluate performance of new sites and formats, refine playbooks, and scale successful models for future rollout.
- Champion the execution of GTM programs and in-store campaigns that maximize visibility and drive sell-through.
- Build strong partner relationships that support growth and expansion through co-joint marketing activities, and sales-related activities.
- Monitor sales activation trends to inform growth initiatives and channel performance reviews.
- Create incentives and performance programs that drive productivity per account and motivate partners toward stretch targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure infrastructure, systems, and supply are aligned with growth and expansion objectives.
- Lead market scanning, competitive benchmarking, and geo-targeting to support strategic site selection and prioritization.
- Formulate scalable operating models that enable faster deployment, partner onboarding, and store activation.
- Establish growth targets by location, partner, and store type in alignment with national and regional expansion priorities.
- Develop and execute partner acquisition programs and store rollout strategies that accelerate channel coverage.
- Identify and open new channel opportunities by targeting high-traffic locations and new channels formats.
- Establish and execute cadence planning, launch plans, and program roll-out timelines for internal and external partners.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and transfer of best practices across modern trade partners and locations.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Management, or related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in Sales, Channel Development, or Retail Strategy with exposure to Modern Trade, Key Accounts, E-Channels, or Partner-led retail operations.
- Strong understanding of retail formats, selling models, and incentive structures in telecom or fast-moving consumer goods.
- Proven experience working with retail chains, mall management, property developers, or large-format retailers.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
