Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance throughout the supply chain network.
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality materials are available. Control inventory levels and monitor stock to prevent shortages or excess.

  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, finance, production) to align supply chain activities with business objectives and demand forecasts.

  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP) may be advantageous.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations is essential. Strong project management and problem-solving skills are also important.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools is necessary to optimize processes and improve visibility.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills are crucial for managing teams and collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders.
