About the Role
We are hiring a senior-level Customer Service Manager who will own customer service performance for our logistics operations and lead a remote customer service organization across geographies. This role requires someone with deep logistics expertise, proven managerial authority, and the ability to scale systems, talent, and customer experience outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for service strategy, team leadership, operational KPIs, customer escalations, and continuous improvement across the customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Customer Service function supporting global logistics operations.
- Manage a remote team of customer service professionals, including team leads/supervisors, analysts, and front-line agents.
- Own customer satisfaction performance, service recovery standards, and escalation management.
- Define and enforce customer service SOPs, SLAs, KPIs, and reporting standards.
- Drive shipment visibility, exception reporting, proactive communication, and service assurance for global clients.
- Partner with Operations, Warehousing, Transportation, Billing, and Sales leadership to ensure synchronized service delivery.
- Lead coaching, performance management, hiring, capacity planning, shift scheduling, and competency development for the team.
- Implement continuous improvement and customer-centric innovations to reduce errors, speed response time, and elevate service quality.
- Present service performance data and action plans to senior leadership and external customers as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years progressive experience in Customer Service within logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain.
- At least 5 years in a formal, full-scope managerial role (hiring, performance reviews, KPI ownership, team capacity planning, escalations).
- Demonstrated leadership of distributed or remote teams.
- Excellent English communication and executive-level presentation skills.
- Strong command of logistics processes including booking, tracking, routing, documentation, billing, POD management, and customer claims.
- Proven ability to manage demanding customers, resolve complex issues, and present data-driven solutions.
- Strong operational discipline with capability to succeed in a high-velocity environment.
Preferred Experience
- U.S. and E.U. customer management exposure.
- Experience standardizing regional teams into a single global service playbook.
- Background in time-critical logistics, premium freight, or end-to-end supply chain visibility solutions.
