The Field Engineer (Operations and Maintenance) is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and performance of equipment and systems at project or client sites. The role involves conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, implementing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of systems, equipment, or facilities in accordance with company standards and schedules.
  • Monitor equipment performance and analyze data to identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare detailed maintenance and inspection reports, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to plan and execute maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and operational protocols.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and technical evaluation of systems when required.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
  • Participate in technical training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related technical field).
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in field operations, maintenance, or technical service.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic instruments, maintenance tools, and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willing to travel and work on-site as required.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Safety certifications (e.g., BOSH, LCM, or equivalent) are an advantage.
