About the Role

Air Accounting is looking for someone who enjoys solving puzzles, reconciling the unreconcilable and building best practice finance systems.

This is not a pure IT role. To succeed, you'll bring hands-on accounting experience and combine it with your passion for technology. You will work alongside our senior advisers to setup clients' Xero files and integrated apps to deliver payroll, bookkeeping and performance reporting.

What you will do?

• Lead simple app integration projects between Xero and eco-system partners(e.g. Square POS integration for a Cafe);
• Support Senior Advisors on complex integrations (e.g. Xero Payroll to Deputy/Employment Hero)
• Research, test and advise on the most appropriate app for the client requirements;
• Post implementation reviews of integration performance and integrity.
• Conduct health checks of prospective and existing clients' Xero files
• Provide recommendations on optimising the existing setup of Xero Connected Apps;
• Troubleshoot and correct dropped or failed integrations
• Identify and resolve data gaps between systems due to failure or lack of integration and advise bookkeepers on how to correct.
• Keep app integration work templates up-to-date and continuously improve them

What you will need to succeed?

Essential

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in Australian payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting using Xero or similar accounting software
• Xero Certified Advisor

Valuable Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in integrating SAAS applications;

• Familiarity with at least one tool in each of these categories:

• Payroll & rostering: Deputy, Tanda, Employment Hero

• POS systems: Lightspeed, Shopify, Square

• Reconciliation apps: Amaka, A2X

• Nice to have: Familiarity with at least one tool in the following categories:

• Payments platforms: Weel, Wise, AirWallex, Paytron

• Inventory management systems: Cin7, Unleashed

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Computer Science, Information Technology or other equivalent degree
