Target start dates may be ASAP or vary depending on the availability of roles.Reporting to Accounting and Reporting Cluster Center Process ManagerAccounting & Reporting Specialist - Mandarin (For Pooling)The Accounting & Reporting team supports JTI entities with various IFRS and local statutory accounting activities. These include preparing and submitting accruals, fixed asset and GL account master data maintenance requests, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, entity trial balance reviews, quarterly IFRS reporting, tax packages, statutory reporting, VAT return data validation, and annual reports like CBCR and JCFC. The team collaborates with finance colleagues in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia to achieve this.As theAccounting and Reporting Specialist - MandarininGBS Manila, you willAnalyze and prepare monthly accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and quarterly/annual reports based on JTI IFRS principles and SLAs; collaborate with markets for statutory audits and financial statements; review and provide feedback on work prepared by team specialists.Review process documentation prepared by the team and provide feedbackAchieve operational metrics and KPIs; enhance knowledge of SAP, accounting/tax, and business processes; support and analyze process improvements; coordinate and review user acceptance testing for system changes.Support the team with assigned JSOX and operational controls per internal documentation; escalate control failures and ensure mitigation actions are implementedLiaise with market/factory accountants, controllers, and relevant departments to ensure reliable accounting information; handle ad hoc tasks from the team manager; support other GBS groups; participate in local and global projects as assignedRequirementsUniversity degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or similar qualification is a plusMinimum 1 year of experience in finance/accounting or external auditing; financial reporting experience is a plus Proficiency in English and Mandarin (oral, reading, writing); both simplified and traditional Chinese required for tax compliance. Role supports entities in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and MalaysiaStrong knowledge of general accounting principles (intercompany, fixed assets, inventories, leases, receivables/payables, accruals)Solid background in financial reporting, especially financial statement preparationWorking knowledge of IFRS, Tax, and SOX complianceFamiliarity with SAP and Microsoft applications is a plusExperience in system and shared service migration is a plusExperience in training junior team members is a plusCommitment to professional development and results-orientedStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsOpen-minded, positive, and adaptable to changeAre you ready to join us?
