Job Summary:

The Public Relations and Events Assistant Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for spearheading the development and execution of PR strategies and event management. This position requires an individual with exceptional organizational and project management skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and superior verbal and written English communication proficiency, including a strong ability to write impactful content, to lead key initiatives, mentor junior team members, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact communications and events.

Job Description:

Strategic Project and Event Leadership:

  • Lead the comprehensive planning, strategic development, and flawless execution of assigned public relations projects and events, ensuring strict alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Drive project management from inception to completion, meticulously managing timelines, securing approvals, and ensuring timely delivery of all deliverables for diverse initiatives, including major campaigns, content development, and event sponsorships.
  • Provide strategic oversight and hands-on management for the creation and writing of compelling content, including articles, speeches, social media posts, and event-specific communications, maintaining the highest standards of written English and brand consistency.

Advanced Stakeholder and Media Relations:

  • Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with media outlets, journalists, key stakeholders, and external partners, particularly in the context of high-profile events and strategic collaborations.
  • Oversee the meticulous development and targeted distribution of press releases, comprehensive media kits, and all communication materials for events and significant corporate announcements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate high-level media training sessions for senior leadership, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments (e.g., Creatives, Marketing, Sales) to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery of materials

Brand Reputation and Crisis Management:

  • Proactively monitor public perception and rigorously ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels, with a particular focus on event communications and campaign narratives.
  • Develop and implement robust crisis communication strategies, including the creation of precise spiels and rapid response protocols for potential issues and event-related concerns.
  • Oversee the development and execution of innovative campaigns that effectively promote the organization's mission and vision, leveraging events as key platforms.

Team Leadership and Administrative Oversight:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide junior members of the Public Relations team, such as Associates, providing clear direction on project execution, best practices, and professional development.
  • Provide diligent oversight of daily tasks and progress for all team members on assigned projects, ensuring accountability and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain highly organized administrative processes, ensuring efficient management of resources, documentation, and reporting for all PR and event activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in public relations and event management, demonstrating successful project leadership, team management, and a strong portfolio of high-quality, impactful content across diverse platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English and Filipino communication, with expertise in media relations, crisis management, event coordination, and strategic planning, including a comprehensive understanding of the Philippine media landscape and cultural nuances.
  • Superior organizational, project management, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • High proficiency in digital communication platforms and tools (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office).
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet demanding deadlines.
  • Innovative, proactive, and highly effective approach to problem-solving.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends in PR, marketing, and social media.
