QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a general accounting or accounting-related administrative role

  • Comprehensive knowledge & experience in preparing & maintaining accurate financial reconciliations

  • Experience required in all account reconciliations including bank, AP/AR, and general ledger reconciliations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas and macros

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently & in a team environment

-Can work with minimum supervision

  • Experience with accounting software required

EXPERIENCE:

  • General Accounting: 3 years (Required)

  • Administrative: 3 years (Required)

  • Invoice & Cost Administration: 3 years (Required)

  • Freight Industry; 1 year (Preferred)

  • Excel/Google Sheet: 5 years (Required

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Utilize 5 years of previous experience in a general accounting or related administrative role to contribute to financial operations

  • Prepare & maintain accurate & timely reconciliations for GL accounts, including reconciliations between the GL & subledger or supplementary systems/reports

  • Handle freight invoice & cost administration, along with administration of debtor outstanding (overdue) invoices & addressing general invoicing queries

  • Maintain an intermediate user level proficiency in Microsoft Excel & demonstrate practical use of Microsoft Outlook & Word for daily tasks
