Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Export Management or related fields.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in import purchasing or procurement, preferably with experience in sourcing from China or through and Wechat, and assist in daily tasks of canvas.

  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of successful procurement.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese or other relevant languages is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently, keep track of and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on product requirements and company needs.

  • Compare suppliers in terms of quality, cost, and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain an updated supplier database and foster strong working relationships with both new and existing suppliers.

  • Stay informed on global sourcing trends and new product opportunities.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

  • Draft, review, and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.

  • Ensure procurement processes align with company policies and legal standards.

Order Management:

  • Place and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Track order status and promptly address any issues or delays.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all import transactions.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate with logistics providers to manage transportation and delivery schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and import/export laws.

  • Address and resolve logistics-related challenges, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.

Quality Control:

  • Establish and uphold quality standards for imported goods.

  • Arrange inspections and quality checks to verify product compliance.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to address any quality concerns or deviations.

Cost Management and Budgeting:

  • Monitor and analyze procurement costs to identify savings and efficiencies.

  • Develop and oversee budgets for import purchasing activities.

  • Provide regular reports on spending, cost performance, and supplier performance.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to local and international trade regulations.

  • Prepare and manage necessary import documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal departments such as finance, operations, and logistics to ensure smooth import processes.

  • Keep management informed about key procurement activities and potential challenges.
