Work Schedule: 06:00 AM – 03:00 PM PH Time Zone (Morning Shift)

Salary Budget: Php 60,000.00 – 70,000.00 gross salary package

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A CIVIL/STRUCTURAL (CAD) DESIGNER

Qualifications as a Civil/Structural (CAD) Designer:

• College Degree or Diploma qualifications, or relevant industry training and experience.
• At least 3 years of proven experience with the preparation of industrial and residential building for the Australian construction market. Should be familiar with Australian steel detailing and experienced with domestic / apartment type construction.
• Ideally experience with the preparation of telecommunications infrastructure for Telstra, Optus or Vodafone and knowledge of their CAD drafting standards.
• English proficiency
• Proficient in AutoCAD for efficient documentation of engineering design documentation.
• Exposure to the Telecommunications Industry design/construction 3D modelling in AutoCAD.

Your responsibilities as a Civil/Structural (CAD) Designer would be:

• Structural elements. (Industrial buildings, Telecommunications Infrastructure, Residential Homes)
• Preparation of foundation and slab details, general arrangement, and structural details for industrial buildings, telecommunications infrastructure, and residential buildings from engineering computations, hand sketches, and red line markup drawings.
• Familiarity with typical Australian Steel Institute Connection Details. Refer attached examples.
• Draftsperson will have sufficient insight to recognize what elements of the structure need to be detailed and documented so that fabricators and builders are provided with sufficient detail to build the structure, drawing on site-specific and typical engineering details.
• Civil Elements. (Pit and pipe, and site cross sections for building sites and skate park developments)
• Preparation of building drainage details, including pavement and pipe RL and invert levels from engineering red line drawings for building sites.
• Preparation of finished surface cross sections for minor developments such as skate parks and building sites.
• Select appropriate standard details from the company CAD library applicable to the infrastructure being documented. i.e., a Fly Brace Detail would be applicable to all industrial portal frame buildings.
• Liaise with engineering staff and ask for further direction where information is not clear or not provided by the engineers.
• Self-check design documentation for errors or lack of clarity in design documentation for further engineering input.
• Management of KBI standard engineering CAD library details.
• Liaise with the engineer and provide constructive feedback so that engineering documentation is prepared in a cost-effective and timely manner.
• Provide realistic time frames for the preparation and delivery of documentation, including feedback to engineers as to what they need to provide to complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, inclusive of structural and civil general arrangement, engineering details in accordance with Company and Client Design Standards.
• Assist with the development and management of engineering standard details in the company CAD library for the efficient preparation of engineering documentation.
• Liaise with clients as directed by engineering management from time to time, typically through email correspondence, in a professional manner
