We are now looking for a dedicated Science teacher to help our students excel in the Philippine high school science curriculum.
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable part-time Science teacher with expertise in the Philippine high school science curriculum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering clear and engaging lessons that help students master complex scientific concepts and succeed in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective online or in-person lessons tailored to the Philippine high school science curriculum, including but not limited to:
- Junior High: Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- Senior High (STEM Strand): Earth Science, General Biology 1 & 2, General Chemistry 1 & 2, General Physics 1 & 2
- Explain complex scientific principles in an accessible and engaging manner for high school students.
- Develop and grade assignments, quizzes, and lab reports (theoretical or practical based on mode of delivery).
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that stimulates curiosity and critical thinking.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
- Must have proven experience and an in-depth understanding of the Philippine high school science curriculum and standards.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience, specifically with high school students.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Excellent communication and explanation skills.
- Patient, motivating, and passionate about teaching science.
- Reliable, professional, and well-organized.
- (For remote work) Stable internet connection and proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Philippine Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) passer is a significant advantage.
- Experience teaching in Philippine schools or tutorial centers.
- Experience with laboratory procedures and safety (a plus for in-person teaching).
