Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging part-time English teacher who is thoroughly familiar with the Philippine high school English curriculum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing effective tutoring and instruction to help students achieve academic success, improve their literacy skills, and prepare for relevant assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging online or in-person lessons aligned with the Philippine high school English curriculum (including but not limited to subjects like 21st Century Literature, Philippine Literature, Reading and Writing Skills, Oral Communication, and Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik).
  • Teach grammar, composition, reading comprehension, and critical analysis of literary texts.
  • Assign and grade assignments, essays, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Help students develop effective study habits and exam techniques.
  • Track and report on student progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Native or near-native English proficiency.
  • Must have proven experience and a deep understanding of the Philippine high school English curriculum.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience, specifically with high school students.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Literature, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, motivating, and passionate about teaching.
  • Reliable, professional, and well-organized.
  • (For remote work) Stable internet connection and proficiency with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching license/certificate (e.g., Philippine Licensure Exam for Teachers - LET) is a significant plus.
  • Experience teaching in Philippine schools is highly desirable.
