We are now seeking an enthusiastic and clear-thinking Mathematics teacher to help our students build confidence and mastery in the Philippine high school math curriculum.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated part-time Mathematics teacher with extensive knowledge of the Philippine high school mathematics curriculum. The ideal candidate will be able to demystify complex mathematical concepts, foster problem-solving skills, and help students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective online or in-person lessons tailored to the Philippine high school mathematics curriculum, including but not limited to:
  • Junior High: Numbers and Number Sense, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Probability
  • Senior High (STEM & Academic Tracks): Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, General Mathematics, Statistics and Probability
  • Break down complex problems into understandable steps and explain mathematical reasoning clearly.
  • Develop and grade assignments, quizzes, and tests to assess student understanding.
  • Provide constructive feedback and track student progress over time.
  • Create a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and logical thinking.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
  • Must have proven experience and an in-depth understanding of the Philippine high school mathematics curriculum and standards.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience, specifically with high school students.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Patient, motivating, and passionate about teaching mathematics.
  • Reliable, professional, and well-organized.
  • (For remote work) Stable internet connection and proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital whiteboards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Philippine Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) passer is a significant advantage.
  • Experience teaching in Philippine schools or tutorial centers.
  • Experience in preparing students for national exams or college entrance tests.
