Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Developer with strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, and Smarty to join our growing team at AVENSETECH. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable web applications. Familiarity with JIRA or other project management/collaboration tools is a must, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP, MySQL, and Smarty.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
  • Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards.
  • Use JIRA (or similar project management tools) to track progress, manage tasks, and communicate with team members.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in PHP, MySQL, and Smarty template engine.
  • Strong understanding of database design, query optimization, and web application development.
  • Experience with JIRA or other project management/collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) is a plus.
  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
