
Junior Human Resources Officer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Handle applicant screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
- Prepare and formulate employment contracts.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Maintain a database of candidate profiles for future hiring needs.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace regulations.
- Foster a positive working environment through regular check-ins on employee well-being and morale.
- Assist in organizing employee communication groups to enhance engagement.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen employer-employee relationships.
3. Payroll & Timekeeping:
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Handle timekeeping records, including employee attendance, leaves, and overtime.
- Process employee cash advances, leave forms, and travel arrangements.
- Arrange and manage shifting schedules as required.
4. Performance Management & Compensation:
- Conduct regular employee performance evaluations and analyze results for potential salary adjustments and career progression.
- Provide guidance on performance evaluation processes and their use in salary grading.
- Recommend employee incentives and training needs based on performance assessments.
5. Compliance & HR Administration:
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, company policies, and industry-specific regulations.
- Prepare and submit government-mandated reports and requirements (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE).
- Maintain and update employee 201 files, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Review, update, and enforce company regulations, making adjustments as necessary.
- Interpret company rules and policies for employees to ensure clarity and adherence.
6. Organizational Development:
- Evaluate current organizational structures and recommend adjustments to optimize workforce efficiency.
- Provide guidance on systems and processes needed to improve overall HR practices.
- Assist in establishing a basis for organizing employees and communication structures.
- Advise on improvements to employee motivation and performance levels through strategic HR initiatives.
7. HR Administration & Logistics:
- Coordinate the release and assignment of uniforms (e.g., shirts, pants, safety shoes).
- Assist employees in understanding and maximizing their benefits, such as healthcare coverage.
- Prepare and manage memos for employee offenses and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience as an HR Officer or similar role; experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws, HR best practices, and statutory benefits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software is an advantage.
- Fluent in Filipino and English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing employee engagement and wellness programs.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to the manufacturing and construction industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with using Sprout Solutions, SharePoint, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
