Job description

Checker for Food & Beverage (F&B) is responsible for verifying the accuracy and quality of products during receiving, storage, and distribution. This role ensures that goods are accurately counted, meet quality standards, and are stored and handled in compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines. The Checker works closely with warehouse and quality teams to ensure that inventory records are accurate and that products are delivered in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection: Verify incoming shipments for accuracy by counting and inspecting goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications.
  • Quality Control: Check for any defects, damages, or inconsistencies in products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and company policies.
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of inventory, updating systems with correct quantities and product information.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and verify documentation for incoming and outgoing products, such as receipts, packing lists, and shipping documents.
  • Coordination with Teams: Work closely with warehouse and production staff to ensure products are properly stored and handled according to food safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards, GMP, and sanitation guidelines when handling and storing products.
  • Communication: Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality issues to relevant departments for corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in food handling or warehouse management is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role, preferably within the food & beverage industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
  • Ability to use inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to keep thorough records.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards, storage requirements, and sanitation guidelines.
