Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Maintain cost accounting system, cost standards, and cost ledger.
  • Monitor and report on inventory valuations, cost variances, and margin analysis.
  • Conduct regular audits of cost records and ensure accuracy in cost data.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to understand cost drivers and changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CMA or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • Solid knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience in manufacturing or production-based industries.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
