The Role: Senior Analyst, Usage Analytics / Usage Enablement

Commercial analytics is part of S&P Global Market Intelligence's CGO organization. The team is entrusted to empower stakeholders with predictive analytics, prescriptive business recommendations, building productivity tools and drive automation via analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for exceptional analytics professional to develop usage analytics solutions and maintain and enrich existing tools.
• The consultant would analyze product usage data to identify trends and insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide insights.
• Develop and maintain usage analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators and suggest improvements. Lead on discussions to support strategic decision-making.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Additionally, the consultant would also be involved in quick turnaround ad-hoc analytics projects.
• You will be interacting with global stakeholders to understand their needs, improvement ways and always carry a listening attitude to business problems.
• You will be responsible for monitoring the usage of the tools built by the team.
• Interaction with top users and feedback collection would be expected.
• You are encouraged to drive next generation analytics on unstructured data. Mentoring to junior analyst and close collaboration with peers are expected.

What We're Looking For

• Proven record of building interactive dashboards in Power BI. Exposed to advanced usage of DAX language.
• Expertise in at least one or preferably two programming languages such as Python, R or SQL.
• Experienced in data modeling, data schemas and good understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams.
• Exceptional skills in listening to leaders & cross functional heads, articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Good time management and communication skills

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, or Economics
• Excellent skills in MS-Excel & Power BI
• Knowledge in Programming Languages (Python, R or SQL)
• Exposure to big data environment and OLAP queries preferred.
• Basic skills in MS-Word, & MS-PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years work experience with analytics solutions
• Exposure to building analytics solutions and maintenance of the same from scratch with minimal supervision.
