Senior Accounting Analyst

The Senior Accounting Analyst will be working with the finance team in COE (Manila Team) and will be integral part of the General Ledge team. Working with UBIF Team in US, the finance analyst will be responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness, preparation of month end reports and journal entries such as accruals and other adjustments.

Responsibilities:

General Accounting & Month End Closing

·       The senior finance analyst will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all transactions executed as part of the closing process. General accounting and month-end closing activities include:

·       Perform daily accounting tasks of General Ledger, Fixed assets, Intercompany transactions, cash flow projection and recording and reconcile bank transactions.

·       Prepare journal entries, intercompany transactions reconciliations, and regular month-end closing schedules.

·       Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and uploading to OneStream monthly.

·       Collaborate with other functional team/s with any GL function related follow up and action item/s.

·       Ensure compliance with approval matrix and related policies for all financial transactions.

Reporting

·       The senior finance analyst will have a significant part of building the reporting framework of the COE (Manila Team) and creating and maintaining the reports to ensure the accurate and timely information is readily available to the stakeholders. These reports include but are not limited to the following:

ü  Monthly accounts reconciliations and necessary documentation. This includes investigations and clean ups for variances in the Accounts reconciliation.

ü  Monthly reportorial requirements: BS Analysis, P&L Analysis, Tax Roll-forward and other requirements

ü  Monthly SLA/KPI reporting

Compliance

·       The senior finance analyst will act as liaison between UBIF US team and COE (Manila Team) in support of external audit and is responsible both preparation and submission of documents as required and timely communication and resolution of issues identified during any Audit.

·       Ensure internal control and statutory compliance objectives are met.

Ad hoc activities

·       Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation, and data related to the above tasks.

·       Assist with other ad hoc transactional and reporting activities within the COE (Manila Team).

·       Undertakes ad hoc improvement projects and analysis as assigned.

·       Back up of Manager in reviewing and approving journals and reconciliations of Finance Analyst

Initiate and support process improvement and/or projects drive.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (preferably CPA)

Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies:

·       A proven track record of academic and professional excellence

·       BPO/Shared service experience

·       At least 4-5 years of relevant professional experience

·       Accounting Proficiency: Advanced conceptual knowledge & skills.

·       Strong problem solving skills, attention to details, organized, and results oriented

·       Good computer skills including common business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel and Word

·       Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision

·       Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communications

·       Prepare written and/or technical reports following standard guidelines and can come up with a presentation laying all information based on customer's requirements.

·       Proven ability to work well with internal customers

·       Positive attitude and strong team orientation

·       Apply general knowledge of applicable information technology to meet work needs.

·       Requires advanced mathematical and statistical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and interpret complex numbers, financial data and reports.

·       The ability to apply such concepts to create reports and financial records and present them effectively is also required.

·       Must be able to develop complex formulas to perform needed calculations and demonstrate how data was derived.

·       The physical demands and working conditions of this position are similar to those found in a standard office environment.  Employee may spend 4-8 per day sitting and working at a computer.  The ability to adjust focus, use hands to grasp, finger, handle, reach or feel and sit for prolonged periods are needed for this position.

·       Able to work flexible hours as needed during peak times.

·       Knowledge of US GAAP,
