Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and maintain the financial accuracy and integrity of two distinct, but interconnected, businesses. The ideal candidate will be a highly competent and meticulous professional capable of managing all aspects of financial control, from day-to-day transaction accuracy to high-level reporting and strategic financial management. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable finance processes through automation.

Primary Tasks

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Maintain the accuracy of financial data within QuickBooks for both Brand AI and Double.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end financial reporting, with a goal of delivering reports by mid-month.
  • Perform quality assurance on unusual and new transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Manage complex accounting areas, including inventory accounting, hedging, and share-based payments.
  • Oversee all payroll processes and ensure they are managed accurately and on time.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for third-party accountants during tax preparation and audits.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Implement and manage new finance-related tools and systems as the business scales.
  • Provide technical expertise to link new business initiatives, staff, or partners into the financial ecosystem.

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Financial Controller or a similar senior finance role.
  • Proven experience working with US and Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in either the SaaS or e-commerce industries.
  • Experience with Australian payroll and superannuation.
  • Experience liaising directly with external accountants and auditors.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

  • High level of spoken, written, and comprehension skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage complex financial tasks across multiple entities.

Required Software/Systems

  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php90, Php100,000.00 per month
