The Procurement Officer is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of high-value/low-risk items. He/She must adhere to the faithful implementation and compliance with the policies, procedures, and work instructions outlined in the Procurement ISO Manual.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Regularly analyze, organize, and recommend procurement plans for their items
  • Receive and review purchase requisitions (PRs), and consolidate items by category
  • Propose target prices for bottleneck items, seek quotations from suppliers, and negotiate to meet the target prices
  • Identify potential opportunities and collaborate closely with stakeholders to maximize value
  • Recommend equivalent options and conduct studies to determine the best value for strategic and leverage items
  • Prepare canvas sheets and ensure that all supplier requirements are met
  • Prepare contract and purchase orders (POs)
  • Provide a copy of the approved POs to the suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are met
  • Address end users' and suppliers' queries about the handled categories
  • Prepare performance evaluation sheets for the relevant suppliers on a quarterly and/or annual basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Must have at least 2 years of related work experience
  • Required skills: MS Excel, MS Word, communication/negotiation skills, contracts management, and vendor management
  • PRC license is a plus
  • Must be willing to work at BGC, Taguig City
