An Accounts Payable (AP) Associate is primarily responsible for managing the company's financial obligations to its suppliers. Core duties typically include:

  • Invoice Processing: Reviewing, verifying, and accurately processing of vendor invoices and expense reports for goods and services, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
  • Three-Way Matching: Matching invoices with Purchase Orders (POs) and Receiving Documents to ensure accuracy before payment.
  • Reconciliation: Reconciling vendor statements to the company's records and resolving any discrepancies, outstanding balances, or payment issues promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining organized and accurate financial records of all accounts payable transactions and documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Month-End Support: Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and AP-related reports.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant tax regulations (e.g., withholding tax).
