We are currently seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong Databricks and PySpark skills, possessing at least 5+ years of experience, and willing to work a mid-to-night shift schedule.

You will join a dynamic team focused on digitalisation and automation services, working alongside developers and reporting to technical leads and service delivery managers. Your primary responsibilities will include application development with a focus on Azure Databricks and PySpark.

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the technical requirements and pass a comprehensive technical assessment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement storage solutions using Azure services such as Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Design and implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) data pipelines to move and transform data from various sources into cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Implement business solutions using Azure Databricks.
  • Align with DevOps strategies to promote code into production.
  • Participate in solutioning and delivery optimisation, including identifying and creating reusable Databricks components.
  • Participate in and define steps to transform requirements into implementation plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Azure data engineering.
  • Strong experience in Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Strong experience in Azure Databricks, Azure Databricks Notebooks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Working experience in migration and modernisation projects.
  • Experience in building data pipelines and analysis tools using Python, PySpark, Scala, and SQL.
  • Proficient in integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured sources.
  • Knowledge of Autosys jobs and batch scripts.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Knowledge of streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Solace queue), Azure App Services, Azure Stream Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
  • Must be amenable to working onsite 2-3 days a week in Taguig on a mid to night-shift schedule.
