Food & Beverage Manager

· Ensure all cost controls for food and labor are being achieved to enable a positive budget result

· Performing administrative tasks to support the Hotel Manager with labor management and compliance

· Ensuring guest satisfaction through expeditious service and applicable service recovery efforts including thorough follow-up

· Maintains effective communication with all employees and staff members

· Monitoring productivity throughout the day and providing support where needed

· Assisting in the preparation and management of operational budgets, achieving sales and profit levels

· Assists in establishing product menu and records product inventories

· Working with the Sous Chef to plan and design menus

· Closely interacting with other members of the Food and Beverage team and participating in departmental meetings

· Aiding in the training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating, and directing of all restaurant Associates

· Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters

· Assuring prompt and professional service is provided to all guests

· Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance

· Assisting other areas of the Hotel and taking on additional tasks as requested

· Taking full responsibility for managing a shift, acting as the Restaurant Manager in his/her absence

· Drive the standards for service & hospitality

· Effectively open physical operation/close physical operation

· Stay up to date with industry trends by reading publications, and keeping up-to-date with pertinent and related F&B city-wide functions

· Ensure all menu descriptions & formatting are kept accurate and up to date at all times

· Participates in MOD program as needed

· Develop standard operation procedures

· Inventory, ordering supplies

· Ability to develop ideas for special events and holiday functions

· Other duties as assigned

· Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance

· Find methods of reducing costs without affecting the level of service or product received by the guests

· Use the employee handbook in understanding the consistent way of communicating rules & regulations to your team

· Review and revise s in conjunction with Human Resources

· Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures

· Coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service

· Direct the implementation of the reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations

· Exercise quality control for both food and beverage

· Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs

· Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance

· Prepare annual budgets and administers in a fiscally responsible manner

· Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

· Lead and supports all Food & Beverage departments on the achievement of their financial and operational targets

· Preparing and adhering to the F&B departmental budget

· Other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager

· Establish and maintain effective internal controls within the F&B operation

· Direct and oversee development of employees

· Attains food and beverage sales goals by executing marketing strategies and controlling costs

· Exceptional people leader, from identifying and hiring talent, to inspiring and developing teams in their career journey;

· Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment, telecom equipment, lighting and room temperature control;

· Good organizational skills to assure all special events are planned well in advance and implemented to perfection;

· Personnel management skills to hire, train, and motivate employees;

· Extensive knowledge of market and related meeting industry;
